RESTORE Air Service

RESTORE's efforts are aimed at building support for policy solutions that can offer relief for communities impacted by regional air service issues and work to reestablish daily air service for rural and small community airports

Our Goals

Re-opening the Essential Air Service (EAS) program to small and rural airports who have not had access since 2012. This can be done through FAA Reauthorization by creating a waiver for airports not currently EAS eligible. RESTORE proposes that EAS be re-opened for a 5-year period for those airports not currently eligible.

EAS Program

Increasing funding for the Small Community Air Service Development (SCASD) Program. Many small and rural airports would be able to restore air service with a SCASD grant. Our hope is that Congress appropriates the popular and successful program to $100 million, and expands to 50 awards.
